Help re: objections to Christmas

haven't posted my own topic in a while, so i thought i'd go with this one.

back in october/november mj started a thread on help with thanksgiving objections.

so, can you guys offer help with christmas objections?

Have a very mild and toned down Christmas, it is after all a religious holiday.

Inviting people over for dinner or something to that effect is considered mild, without caroling ..bla bla bla

You be surprised on how many people are doing this now, the younger generation is taking on a much lesser approach to Christmas that in the past.

It might be that there is a greater percentage of people that are not involved in religion as a possibility.

I usually invite my JW brother and his wife out to dinner and a movie and a invitation usually follows by them.

The no worries about what to cook and all the fuss gets handed over to a restaurant.

We have an arrangement that we don't bring up religion, its worked for the past 30 years so why change it.

This is a video shot at the scene , I think god was making a statement about the WTS and the JWS.

do we receive our teachings from any man?.

there are many varied religions on this earth, at this present moment in time, of which, their religious leaders, teach their adherents, god's word.

because they are so varied, ones teachings at times clash with the others, and they are not in harmony, one with the other.

Unfortunately many men out there own desires and needs, place the power of god in their hands and from that point on

due to this consequence of action humanity suffers.

The WTS/JWS is a shining example of this.

If men are given the opportunity to play god many men will take themselves up on that offer with progressive zeal.

The ones who commercialize goods under this arrangement are probably the ones to watch out for the most, for there much personal gain to be had.

The WTS. in this regard comes very much to mind.

Flu shots at local (Woo Hooooo) church!

several days ago my wife and i got our flu shots, both the h1n1 and the seasonal variety.. the local assembly of god church volunteered the use of their adjacent building (looks like a huge cafeteria) and things couldn't have gone any smoother.

we were in and out in less than 5 minutes because we'd already filled out the forms.. it struck me that this is something jehovah's witnesses would probably never do -- offer their facilities for some public service.. yes, i've been out for some 32 years.

has anything changed?.

Absolutely not , what let a mass amount of demonetized worldlies into the hall, at one point JWS were against vaccinations of any kind.

Thats how stupid they were back decades ago, some unfortunately died because of this.

The JWS is not a charitable organization in a community sense, like other Christian based faiths,

they may help internally to among themselves but thats where the line gets crossed.

And quite frankly they don't even do that very well.

I with Minimus , I doubt that was the reason since its highly unlikely that a sexual predator would do anything

at a book study with people around, likewise at a kingdom hall .

Most of these sexual attacks occur away from these places, this is where predators cover themselves with a

white sheet of righteousness and smile. Maybe the thought was for this reason as one and perhaps they

wanted to closely scrutinize people and hear what their talking about and what they are doing, they seem to be much more

concerned about closely watching the flock these days and it might be a case of looking out for apostates.

i know there are so many different viewpoints on this forum, it will be interesting for all to see them and what scriptures or reasoning they are based on.. some examples are,.

do you feel only one needs to have love, faith in jesus, and those basics and that is what you must proclaim.. do you feel true knowledge must be taught to all, and as much as is known.

Do you believe God has one true organization on earth?

for those who believe in god, do you believe he has one true organization on earth?

word of our intended slow fade has abruptly become a public knowledge.

my husband was talking to his sister on the phone today, breaking the news to her and one thing she kept bringing up was that god has to have an organization on earth.

All religious organizations on earth that have ever existed have been subconscious aspirations of human imagination.

Therefore if god does exist all religions are viably true.

One thing that is certain religion can change any direction it needs to, to deem themselves viable before the public,

the WTS. from its beginning has done so many times and will most likely do so in the future.

to replace the JWS name, a reformation to bemoan the old JWS organization. Why do I assume that ? because the organization has never in its history

has it been so exposed like it has since the introduction of the inter-net. They are indeed cowering backwards with little place to go,

perhaps when they move completely to Wakekill they may take on a new identity, with a accompanying change in doctrines.

Be assured though that the top cats will try their utmost best to hang on to the millions and the supposed power offered.
